Giftomi- LiveUmbrella’s first attempt at success- first shot at shooting into the future and creating a beautiful blossoming social network application. With smiles on our faces we created Giftomi and ran into some stumbling blocks. I guess it goes with the adage that is commonly repeated in the startup community- build with the least amount of features, release, and watch yourselves grow. It is then you will know if you have a worthy product.
Our mistake in approaching Giftomi was trying to release this application with all the features we wanted. Our team, however, believes everything happens for a reason, and I, for one, am super grateful for our little stumbling. I think it was a beautiful blessing!
In a couple days, you will see the revealing of Giftomi V.01 - a social network application that allows multiple users to send personal greetings to an end user in one package. Exciting, no? We’re excited. :)
We’ve reworked our strategy and are adding features as Giftomi’s userbase grows. We are also talking to some potential gift card partners in the space for the next version. (They’ve been wonderful!)
We’ve come out stronger as a team through this lovely learning experience, and are stronger as a company.
I can’t wait to spread the Giftomi love all around, for LiveUmbrella’s mission stands: We’re here to bring people together- one app at a time.
